To further his studies in counseling and psychotherapy, Gary went on to earn his Master's degree in Community Counseling through the University of Northern Colorado. Once again, the curriculum was extensive and featured in-depth study and research in a range of areas including group counseling, individual psychotherapy, psychopathology, personality and counseling theory, addictions, multicultural issues, family systems, sexual orientation and sexual counseling. Additionally, her acquired over 700 hours of supervised clinical experience in dual diagnosis (addictions and mental health issues) during the completion of his internship requirements.
Private Practice
Currently, Gary works with adults in private practice covering the full range of mental health issues. He has particular expertise in working with sexual orientation and sexual identity issues, as well as treating adult and childhood trauma. His emphasis is on integrating the latest information and research into his counseling approach in order to give clients optimum care. His office is in Arvada, Colorado in suburban Denver, conveniently located off US 36 (Boulder Turnpike) midway between Denver and Boulder. In addition to daytime appointments, convenient evening and weekend appointments are also available.
